[Podcast] 3 More Rounds 08.27.09: Paul Williams Opens Up
Posted by Ryan Bates on 08.27.2009
Paul Williams joins the show this week to talk about all things Kelly Pavlik and more. Plus, Ryan and Ramon go over Boxing After Dark, this weekend's fights and more.
This week, Ramon and I are joined by our guest, WBO Interim junior middleweight champion Paul "The Punisher" Williams, as we discuss his upcoming fight/non-fight with Kelly "The Ghost" Pavlik, training at 11pm, and Craft-matic adjustable beds. We also talk about the Mayweather/Marquez pay-per-view, and whether Goobers or Jujubes are the right theatre snack for watching fights. And me and Ramon (mainly me) tee off on pretty much everything related to the Diaz/Malignaggi fight. Also, you think this weekend is lacking in boxing? Au contraire, let Ramon and I clue you in. All this and more on "3 More Rounds" this week!

Kelly Povlik is injured dude! Chill out man! These things happen in the boxing game, nothing new here. Don't get me wrong I like Williams he's good peoples, but Kelly ain't at fault here. If Williams REALLY wants the fight he can wait ''1 month'' for Kelly's injury to heal. And why he don't want to come to Youngstown, It's not as if he's a big draw either, he coundn't sell turkey's at christmas? Message to Pauly: I don't think You want any part of Kelly at all, I think you is bluffing dog.Kelly got to much pop for your chin to absorb.

Moonboats:
I personally feel that Pavlik's full of it, which is why I answered that question. Clearly I'm not the only one. And why not go to Youngstown? Did you see what happened in Houston?
This match would do well in Las Vegas, where Pavlik does draw nicely. Maybe in the Mandalay Bay Events Center, where Williams fought before. Not a huge venue but still a nice sizeable one (one of the top 5 in vegas).
